    Georgia was named as one of four states with a statistically significant increase in its infant mortality rate between 2021 - 2022.
  • 大象传媒 SOM Department of Pediatrics will receive $500,000 annually from the state to assess the cause and implement programs/processes to decrease this rate.
  • The department has a faculty workgroup that will be directly involved in this initiative. Home visits to at-risk families will be a part of this initiative.
  • Our new Vice Chair of Research will play an integral role in ensuring the success of our efforts.
